Carolyn Ann Bean

Carolyn Ann Bean, 72, of Orange, passed away on December 10, 2022, at Focus Care in Orange, Texas.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, at MacArthur Heights Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jay Thomas.

Born in Houston, Texas on January 2, 1950, she was the daughter Herbert Cook and Muriel West Washer. Carolyn was a graduate of Sam Houston State University with her Master’s Degree in Education. She went on to teach at Raymond Elementary in Aldine Independent School District for 26 years. Carolyn loved to travel and experience new things in life. She enjoyed visiting the beach, scuba diving, cruising, taking her two nieces to the Ally Theater, ice skating and traveling to Disney World (multiple times). Carolyn also enjoyed quilting, watching Rachel Ray, and had an unconditional love for her animals. She left a lasting impact on many lives and will be fondly remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents Muriel West Washer and Herbert Cook.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Bean; her brother Albert (Butch) John Cook and wife Joan (Jay) Naschke Cook; her nieces, Kellie Cook Powell and husband Matthew and Karen Cook Garza; and her great niece, Meadow Marie Garza of Houston, Texas.
