Christopher “Chris” Joseph Landry, 59, of Vinton, passed away on May 25, 2020 in Lake Charles.
A mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton. Officiating will be Reverend Carlos Garcia.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020, with a rosary at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 16, 1960, he was the son of Warren Joseph Landry and Dorothy Comeaux Landry. Chris was an Operator for 16 years at Chevron and went on to work as a housing contractor for the last 25 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton for a number of years where he served on the Pastoral Council and was involved with the Knights of Columbus. Chris enjoyed making sausage and boudin, cooking at family gatherings and being surrounded by those he loved. He loved his farm animals and going crabbing and was a wonderful family man & will be dearly missed by all those he came to know and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Dorothy Landry; and his granddaughter, Torrie Granger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Judy Landry; children, Greg Turbeville and wife Trudy, Justin Landry, and CJ Landry II, all of Vinton; grandchildren, Kerstyn Turbeville and Trent Wright, Chase Landry, Christopher Landy III, Brayden Ashworth, Sarah Beth Ashworth, and Paisley Robertson; great-grandchild, River Rae Wright; siblings, Donna Harper and husband Larry, Warren Landry II and wife Sonda, Todd Landry and wife Dawanna, Troy Landry and wife Mary, and Nicolas Landry and wife Joannah; along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
