Mary “Babe” Shull, 80, of Orange, passed away on April 29, 2019, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville, Texas.
Visitation will be prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on December 23, 1938, she was the daughter of John Thomas Adams and Adell Bird Adams. She loved every moment of life and enjoyed being outdoors, reading, and fishing in professional tournaments. Babe was a big Nascar fan, and had a special place in her heart for Jeff Gordon. She was an avid sportsman and athlete, participating in softball, bowling, waterskiing, deer hunting, and rodeoing when she was younger. Babe had a deep passion and vast knowledge for anything Native American and loved to collect antiques. She was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Durward Shull; as well as her siblings.
She is survived by her children, Deana Aven, Dean Wilson, and Vance Wilson & wife Angie, all of Orange; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson, Cole Aven, David Clark, John Thomas Wilson, Theresa Wilson, and John Vance Wilson; and six great-grandchildren.
