Aaron Thomas Calvert, 29, died suddenly, Saturday, October 18, 2008, in Columbus, Ohio.
A visitation and Rosary will be held Friday, October 24, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home's temporary site in Orange, 1408 West Park Avenue . Visitation from 4 pm to 7 pm followed by the Rosary at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Joseph Daleo will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Aaron was born in Beaumont, Texas , on July 23, 1979, to Thomas Richard Jr.. and Christal Lawrence Calvert. He graduated from West Orange Stark High School in 1997 but attended most of his school years in the LCM School District. He received his Industrial Engineering degree from Texas A&M University in 2004. He was employed as industrial engineer with Advanced Auto Parts in Columbus , Ohio at the time of his passing.
Aaron touched more lives in his 29 years than most people who live twice as long. His charming smile, quick wit and gentle laugh made everyone feel special. He had a big heart and a big part in a big family with 12 aunts and uncles and 44 first cousins.
Aaron is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Dewey D. "Buck" Lawrence, Jr., his paternal grandmother Aggie Calvert, and uncles, Dr.Darrell Lawrence and Timothy G. Lawrence.
He is survived by his best friend and beautiful bride of two months Ashley Cleaves Calvert and her family Dennis and Charlotte Cleaves and Dylan and Cody Cleaves, all of Burleson; his parents Phil and Christal Finck, of Burnet, and Richard Calvert of San Antonio; grandparents, Thomas R. Calvert, Sr. of Orange, Mabel Wingate Lawrence of Orange, three brothers Jeremy Shane Lisa of Burnet, Chad of Arlington; Corey of Arlington, and two sisters, Erika Watson of Burnet; and Stephanie Materne Chris of Norman, OK. He is also survived by six nieces and three nephews, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Aaron was a natural peacemaker and will be missed by everyone who knew him well for his warm sense of humor and his helpfulness to anyone in need.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Shane Calvert, Chad Calvert, Corey Calvert, Richard Calvert, Brad Johnson, and Dylan Cleaves.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Cleaves, Michael Romano, John Romano, Timothy Cook, Nicholas Ray, Jonathan Ray, Benjamin Ray, Dustin Brooks, Chris Roberts, and Darrell Lawrence.
