Albert Arthur Chesson
Albert Arthur Chesson, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2023, in Orange, Texas.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
Officiating will be Father Antony Paulose of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
A visitation will be held before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. The rosary will follow at 10:30am.
Boorn in Toledo, Ohio, on October 26, 1945, he was the son of Albert and Martha (Lutes) Chesson. Albert was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church and an active member of their Altar Society for many years. He was also an avid gardener and longtime member of The Rose Society. Albert spent much of his life repairing railcars, leading to his large collection of trains. In his free time, he enjoyed watching wrestling and westerns, especially John Wayne movies, going geocaching with his daughter, and fishing. He typically brought home more lures he found while out rather than fish. Albert had a big personality that was cherished by his family, whom he loved more than anything else. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and son, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Beatrice Chesson, his parents, Albert and Martha Chesson; and his brothers, L. Roy Chesson and Samuel Chesson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Dorothy Lynn Way and fiancé, Donald Wells; his son, Michael Anthony Chesson and wife, DeeAnna; his grandchildren, Ariel Chesson and fiancé, David Keating, Eric Chesson, Daniel Chesson, Austin Chesson, Joseph Way and wife, Keely, Jacob Way; great granddaughters, Emersyn and Lilah Keating, He is also survived by his sister, Jean LeBouef, his sister-in law, Vicky Chesson, his beloved dog Penny and numerous other loving friends and family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Orta, Jr., Jason Ayers, Cody DeRoche, Arthur Lecea, Amy Orta, and
Jimmy Grimes. Honorary pallbearers are Derrick Bufford, Ryan Buker, Ben Orta, Nicholas Ayers, Jeff
Koob, Michael Glach, James Grimes, and Brandon Penick.
