Alice Odelia King Cole, 91, of Bridge City, passed away on November 23, 2021, in Bridge City.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2021, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Father Ernie Carpio. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Born in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, on January 16, 1930, she was the daughter of Oscar King and Bernice (Webb) King. She graduated from St. Martin in Ocean Springs, Mississippi where she played on the basketball team. Alice was a longtime member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City where she served as a member of the Altar Society. She was an incredible matriarch for her family, and set the precedent for everything a wife, mother, and grandmother should be. Alice enjoyed going to garage sales, shopping and going to casinos with her loved ones. Her favorite time was getting her hair done and pampering herself, something she so deserved. She will be deeply missed during her journey to eternal heaven, though her family knows she is being so graciously welcomed into Jesus’ loving arms.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Bernice King; loving husband, Donald E. Cole; and son, Donald Wayne Cole.

She is survived by her children, Alice Hartsfield of Bridge City, Angela Hebert of Bridge City, and Michael Cole and wife Judy of Bridge City; daughter-in-law, Diana Cole; grandchildren, Clint Hartsfield and wife Tracy, Melissa Lambert and husband James, Candice Jenkins and husband Nate, Cody Hollis and wife Crystal, Kristi Bourque and husband Chad, Lori Runnels and husband Jason, and Jon Cole and wife Kristi Moore; great-grandchildren, Cole Hartsfield, Kaylee Lambert, Natalye Allen, Brayden Lambert, Brynklee Harvey, Michael Jenkins, Jonah Jenkins, Easton Hollis, Scarlett Hollis, Kyndal Runnels, Tyler Runnels, Emma Bourque, and Olivia Bourque; and two brothers, Roger King and Benny King; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southeast Texas Hospice at 912 W. Cherry Ave. Orange, Texas 77630.
