Alice Marie Cormier, 79, passed away Thursday, September 25th in Vidor, Texas. Born in Deweyville, Texas, Alice was the daughter of Evalena and Millard Smith. Alice was a resident of Devil?s Pocket, Texas, Vidor, Texas as well as various towns in Louisiana. Alice and her husband, Paul Cormier, pastored several churches in Louisiana, including Golden Meadow Full Gospel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Cormier, and daughters Evalena Cormier and Jackie Ann Driskill, as well as brothers, Ronnie Smith, Billy Smith, and David Smith, sister, Jackie Bell Sims, and great grandaughter, Hannah Webster. Alice served the Lord from her teenage years and dedicated much of her life to the ministry of God. She helped pastor many churches and was a foreign missionary to various West Indies Islands. She was famous for her warm smile and moving stories that she told while evangelizing. She never met a stranger and many still picture her laughing and singing with her guitar, touching hearts everywhere she went. She was a remarkable woman who suffered many tragedies but did so with grace. Her suffering has ended and she has now gone on to meet her loved ones. She was a kind and tender person who left a sweet imprint on each person she met. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

We would like to thank everyone for their condolences and many thanks to the staff at Vidor Health and Rehab for the loving care she received.
