Alice Irene Wiszmann

Alice Irene Wiszmann, 87, of Long Beach, Washington, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Orange, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Services and burial will follow at a later date in Seattle, Washington.

Born in Vernonia, Oregon, on December 19, 1937, she was the daughter of Orville Brinn and Bessie (Walton) Brinn. A woman of deep Catholic faith, Alice found strength and solace in her beliefs, which guided her through life's challenges and shaped her unwavering commitment to family. To her, family was paramount, and she cherished the time spent with loved ones, holding dear the memories created together.

Alice had a passion for the simple joys of life. She enjoyed living at the beach house in Washington, where she loved taking walks along the board walk, beachcombing for treasures, and enjoying the calming sounds of the waves. Her hobbies also included sewing, a craft she approached with creativity and warmth, as well as baking, bowling, traveling, genealogy, and spending time with her grandkids.

Alice's proudest accomplishments were her family and the love she shared with them. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a strong sense of faith that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Bessie Brinn; and her sister, Virginia Crisp.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of over 60 years, Bud Wiszmann; children, Mike Wiszmann and wife Kelly, Patricia LaPierre and husband Marc, Mary Dewees and husband Cullen, and Becky Buchan and husband Adam “Buck”; grandchildren, Chelsea and her husband Johnathan Trahan, Rylee Wiszmann, Bryan and Devon LaPierre, Austin Dewees, Elissa Dewees, Jacob Buchan, Elden Buchan, and Jonah Buchan; and her great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Karter; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
