Allen Eugene Burch

Funeral services for Allen Eugene Burch, 94, of Beaumont, will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in Jeanerette Methodist Cemetery in Jeanerette, LA. Mr. Burch was born July 14, 1913 in Hempstead, TX to Thomas and Blanche Burch and passed away April 29, 2008 in Beaumont, TX.
He earned both a Chemical Engineer Degree and Law Degree and was active in many organizations. For over 60 years, he was a Texas Mason and a Texas Knight of Templar. He will be remembered as the past president and vice-president of the local chapter of the Sons of American Revolution, past president and secretary of the Texas State Wolf and Fox Hunters Association, and a member of the Boles Field Fox Hunters Association.
Mr. Burch is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Cyr Burch, his parents, and his sister, Ocie Anna Burch. He is survived by nieces, Patricia Cyr Hansen and husband Hubert of Shreveport, LA; Paula Cyr Louviere and husband Eldridge of Jeanerette, LA, Sandra Cyr Mestayer and husband Ross of Lacombe, LA; nephew, Charles M. Cyr and wife Joie of Metairie, LA; numerous grand nephews and nieces, and godchild, Corinne Oppermann and husband Gus. A special thanks is extended to Mr. Burch, Linda Renfro, Jackie Thomas, and Belinda Adams.
