Allen Roy Romero, 80, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2023, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Murry Ray. Burial will follow at Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Orange, Texas, on August 23, 1942, he was the son of Paul Romero and Agnes Ruth (Levine) Romero. Allen was employed as a construction foreman for several years of his life. During his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and gardening. Allen always made sure to grow extra in his garden so he would have plenty to give away. His loved ones will always cherish their memories of him and will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Agnes Romero; son, Randy Bob Romero; sister, Katherine Joyce Romero; brothers, John David Romero and Robert Paul Romero; and great-grandson, Kegan Rogas.
He is survived by his wife, Dean Trahan Romero of Bridge City; sons, Allen Bret Romero of Vidor, Texas, Cory Douglas Romero of Beaumont, Texas, Roderick Langlinais and his wife, Donna of Arp, Texas, and Chad Bourque and his wife, Tamara of Arp, Texas; daughters, Lisa Caswell and her husband, Frankie of Arp, Texas, and Gwen Caswell of Bridge City; grandchildren, Shane Romero and wife, Sarah of Fannett, Texas, Colton Romero and wife Traci of Houston, Texas, Garrett Romero and wife Jordan of Beaumont, Texas, Stormi Morgan of Mississippi, Lindsey Gothia of Port Arthur, Grant Romero, Brandon Romero, Raquelle Langlinais, Luke Langlinais, Jacob Langlinais, Jacey Bourque, Zack Bourque, Zane Bourque, Shelby Suire, Blake Suire, and Britney Rogas and husband Brandon; great-grandchildren, Easton and Rylan Romero, Gia Estella Romero, Reese and Palmer Romero, Kenzi Trahan, Khloe Sims, Bryson Gill, Britlee Rogas, and Adley Langlinais; brothers, Howard Romero of Johnson Bayou, Louisiana, and Rogerest Romero, of Johnson Bayou, Louisiana; and his sister, Brenda Romero Sanders, of Carlyss, Louisiana.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cory Romero, Bret Romero, Garrett Romero, Colton Romero, Shane Romero, and Roderick Langlinais. Honorary pallbearers are Rory Slaughter and Calise Romero.
