Ann Gonzales, 58, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 16, 1966, she was the daughter of Edward Gonzales and Charlotte Gonzales (Fontenot). She was a dedicated caregiver at Piney Woods, where she found great joy in helping others. Throughout her life, Ann cherished the time spent with her family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand. Ann had a passion for gardening, and she loved to watch her favorite shows when she wasn’t tending to her plants. She took great pride in canning fresh vegetables and enjoyed cooking and baking for her loved ones. One of her favorites was her hummingbird, which brought her much joy. Ann was a kind and loving woman who touched the lives of many.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Oralia Gloria Gonzales; and grandfather, Joseph Gonzales.

She is survived by her boyfriend, Tom Brashear; parents Edward and Charlotte Gonzales; son, John “JC" Cecil Derby; daughter, Tanessa Derby; sister, Arleen Marie Gonzales & partner Jan Mooij; brother, Edward Lee Gonzales & wife Michelle Gonzales; The Fontenot Family; numerous other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
