Anna Belle Simpson

Belle Simpson, 84, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2026, in Beaumont. She was born on September 8, 1941, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Marks and Laura Levy.

Belle was a loving wife and mother, and her grandchildren were her whole world. She graduated from Port Arthur College with an Associate's degree. Throughout her career, she worked as an office manager at Spencer's Department Store and later as a payroll clerk for Orangefield Independent School District. After her retirement, Belle enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary's hospital and cherished spending time with her family. Belle was the queen of greeting cards; never missing the birthdays or anniversaries for her entire extended family. She was also an avid baker, and her homemade pies, cakes, and coffee can pumpkin bread will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Leo Simpson; her daughter, Nicole Simpson Allbee; and her cherished grandchildren, Miranda Allbee Holland and husband, Dalton, and Lauran Allbee. Belle is also survived by her sister, Donna Levy; brothers-in-law, JC Verde, Mike Simpson and wife, Beckie, and Greg Simpson and wife, Cici; and sister-in-law, Pat Bankston. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will dearly miss her.

Belle was preceded in death by her parents, Marks and Laura Levy; her sisters, Verna Verde and Gail Marcantel; and her brothers-in-law, Bennie Bankston and Alvin Marcantel.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, with Deacon Steve Obernuefemann officiating. Burial will take place following the services at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Pallbearers will be Ken Marcantel, Keith Marcantel, Melvin Marcantel, Allen Runte, Steve Nunez, Nathan Dismukes, and Jace Runte. Chad Dismukes will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
