Annie Ruth Reaves Strader

Annie Ruth Reaves Strader, 83, of Beaumont passed away in her home to be with her Father in Heaven on Sunday, September 19, 2010.
Ann was born in Moselle, MS, the second of seven children to the late Lucille and Charlie W. Reaves.
Ann was an avid bridge player and achieved the recognition of Life Master in 1975. She could do anything she put her mind to, and do it well. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and creating beautiful pieces of needlework.
She is survived by her two loving children, Sam and his wife Brenda, and Lesley and her husband Kurt, all of Beaumont; three wonderful grandchildren, Emily of Atlanta, GA, Rachel of Nashville, TN, and Max of Beaumont; sister Doris Watkins of Atlanta, GA, brothers James Reaves of Mendenhall, MS and David Reaves and wife Betty Lynn of Columbia, MS; sister-in-law Linda Reaves of Jackson, MS, brother-in-law Bill McAlister of Hattiesburg, MS, and her aunt Lena Reaves of Mendenhall, MS and her brother-in-law Jerry Strader and wife Patsy of Abilene, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Les Strader; her sisters Shirley Smith and Mattie Lee McAlister and her brother Ray Reaves.
She will be missed dearly by all who love her.
Her visitation will be Friday, September 24 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. She will have a graveside service Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery.
