Annie Toney Phillips McCall, 92, of Beaumont, Texas left this life on March 30, 2019 after a short illness. She was born on December 6, 1926 in San Augustine County, Texas to Charles Henry and Carmon G. Robbins Toney.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents Charles Henry and Carmon G. Robbins Toney, her sister Fannie Toney Hearn, her brothers Raymond Toney, Ramie Toney, John R. Toney Sr. Also preceded in death, by her first husband, Earl B. Phillips the father of her three children, her second husband Allen Grady McCall and step-daughter Wilma Busby. She is survived by her sons Henry Phillips and wife Marilyn of Gonzales, Texas, Glenn Phillips and wife Sandy of Winnie, Texas, her daughter Shirley Phillips of Beaumont, Texas, stepsons Ray Lynn McCall of Houston, Texas, Alvin McCall of Katy, Texas, step-daughter Sharon Scott of Katy, Texas and two grandsons Kevin Phillips and finance’ Miranda of Beaumont, Michael Barnes Jr. of Vidor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Annie was a homemaker, retired nurse’s aide and was Rosie the Riveter during the war for about one year. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Bronson Chapter No. 337 and VFW Auxiliary. Annie loved quilting, crocheting, joking around, gardening, canning and freezing vegetables and fruit. She also loved being a seamstress and making a lot of her families clothing.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel, Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont, Texas; Officiating will be Chaplain Belinda Breaux with burial to follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
