Annie Marie Giarratano, 95, died while sleeping at her home in Maine, on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. She was a native of Orange, Texas, the wife of the late Joseph Giarratano and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lucia, pioneer Orange grocers. She had five brothers, the late Mike, John, Sam, Joe, and Anthony Lucia; and one sister, the late Sarah Todaro.
When she lived in Orange, she was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church and belonged to the La Donna Club of Orange.
Survivors include her daughter, Antionette Frankland; grandchildren, John and Maria Frankland, Thomas and Anne Marie Pichotta, and Ted and Sarah Logan; great-grandchildren, John Frankland III, Angela Frankland, Paul Keri, Erika Keri, Antionette Logan, and Natalie Logan.
Pallbearers will be John Frankland, Ted Logan, Thomas Pichotta, Patrick Clark, Karl Eason, Paul Keri, and John Frankland III.
The visitation will be Friday, March 4th at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The vigil with the Rosary for the deceased will begin at 6:00 p.m., led by Deacon Eddie Blankenstein. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with the Reverend Joseph Daleo officiating. Burial will occur at St. Mary?s Cemetery.
