My fondest memory of Nanette was visiting with her as a young girl. My mom would visit her when we would go see Aunt Lena & Aunt Josephine at the store. She always had a smile. RIP Nanette, all the love awaits you passed those pearly gates! My prayers go out to all the family. I wish I could be among you all during this time! Thinking of you all always...Cousin Threasa Busby-Dickerson in Sahuartia AZ!

There are so many memories of happy days I got to spend with Antoinette. Growing up she was my cousin but also my friend and confidant. . Even though I lived in Houston and she in Orange as children we saw each other often. Those were the days when most all our family got together often for the whole weekend. I always looked forward to to when Mama and Daddy would tell me we were spending the weekend in Orange, because I knew I was going to see Nannette and my other cousins, aunts and uncles. I remember when it was time to leave crying because I didn't want to leave. As teenagers we spent a lot of time on the phone talking about anything and everything especially boys. I remember coming home one day from work and my mother telling me Antoinette was in the hospital in Galveston that her spleen had ruptured and she wasn't doing very good. I felt like someone had just pulled the rug out from under me but she recovered and I remember feeling very blessed. Then the day came when she called me and said she had met the love of her life and asked me to be in her wedding. She was the most beautiful bride I'd ever seen and you could tell she and John were deeply in love. Then a couple of years later I called to tell her I was marrying the man of my dreams and if she would be my Matron of Honor and John as groomsman. Two years later I called to tell her I was going to have a baby and she was so happy for me and a little worried that she had not gotten pregnant yet, and I told her she would and it wasn't even a year later that she called and said she was pregnant . There were many events through the years we shared that I will always look back on with a smile and some with tears. The following years went on as life does There were good days , then the no so good days. I choose to remember the good days I got to spend with my cousin. I am going to miss her so much. I love you Antionette. And to John and the family our thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless, Love Marie and Ronnie and family.
