Antonia Annette Almaguer Barrientos
Antonia Annette Almaguer Barrientos, born in Orange, Texas, on September 25, 1932, passed from this life to her heavenly reward on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 25, 1932, she was the daughter of Torivio Almaguer and Ignacia Abrego Almaguer. Annette was a monitor technician for Baptist Hospital in Orange for 30 years before she retired. She enjoyed working in her yard, and watching football and basketball games. However, her Friday nights in the fall were reserved for Mustang football games. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society and volunteered at St. Mary’s School. She also belonged to the Bereavement Committee and Adoration Group. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Petra Garza; and brothers, Ignacio Almaguer and Eustacio Almaguer.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ralph Barrientos; one daughter, Rosa Fuller and husband, Phillip, of Orange; one son, Ralph Barrientos II, of Houston; three grandchildren, John Phillip Fuller, John Ross Fuller, and Payton Barrientos; and siblings, Guadalupe Light, Pomposa Galavis, Rafaella Flores, Maria Welch, Torivio Almaguer, and Jose Almaguer; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home. Officiating will be Father Joseph P. Daleo. Interment of cremated remains will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
A visitation will precede the service, starting at 10:00 a.m., with a Rosary following at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Deacon Melvin Payne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Catholic School at 2600 Bob Hall Rd., Orange, TX 77630.
