Archie Craig Courmier, 62, of Vidor, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with graveside services immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Ashcraft and Reverend Scott McIntosh.
Born in Orange, Texas on August 20, 1949, Archie was the son of Urner Dale and Lola Mae Sanders Courmier. He graduated from West Orange High School in 1967.
Preceded in death by his parents, Archie is survived by his brothers, Tommy Dale Courmier and wife Sharlet of Vinton, LA, and Alan Boyd Courmier and wife Marlene of Orange; sister, Donna Gay Bates of Bryan; aunts, Margaret Cooley and Doloris Sanders, both of DeQuincy, LA; uncle, Ferold Arend of Bentonville, AR; aunt, Jean Courmier of Vinton, LA; and nephews, Cody Courmier and wife Ashley, Matthew Courmier, and Chuck Courmier and wife Jana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to North Orange Baptist Church, 4775 N. 16th St., Orange, Texas 77630, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
