A.R. Red Hall

October 2, 1932 — February 28, 2011

A.R. ?Red? Hall, 78, lifelong resident of Orange passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Hall was born October 2, 1932, in Hope, AR, to Denver B. and Ethel Grissom Hall. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later worked and retired as a Quality Control Welder Inspector and a member of Pipefitters Local 195. He was an avid fan of the Houston Astros; he loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed the outdoors. However nothing compared to his love for his family; he was a caring, loving, wonderful husband, dad and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jimmy Hall and Chester Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Nova Dolores Hall of Orange; daughter, Sheri Scalise and husband, Frank; grandchildren, Tony Scalise and Lauren Scalise, all of Houston; half-brother, Charles Smith and wife, Juanita of Orange and numerous nieces and nephews. ?Red? was loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Gary P. Wheeler of First United Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
