One of my very best friends growing up on Granger Dr in BC. Played many ball games in the neighborhood with AJ. First grade thru 12th we were always together playing ball. There is a whole in my heart where I will miss him.

I moved to Bridge City down the street from AJ in 1967. Summers found us racing Jon boats in the cut behind his house that connected to Cow Bayou. AJ was one of our close group of school buddies that hunted-trapped the marshes, swam and skied the bayous and fished and shrimped the waters around Bridge City together. Some of the best times of our lives as high schoolers was hanging out at “The Shack”, a small camp on Sabine Lake that Fred Bailey generously allowed us to use rent free. I think of AJ, the gang and those wonderful teen age times often. I will miss him very much. My wife Marilyn and I send our heartfelt condolences to Bobbie and the Lemoine families.

AJ you were a good man, husband, father and probably the best softball coach I was ever around. You kept things enjoyable and whether we were winning or losing kept us on our toes. I know that the 8-10 years of coaching with you were the best times I had in my life. You shared you wealth of knowledge of the game as well as life lessons that these young ladies still carry today. One of the Facebook post that I read tells it all and comes from one of our former players," what a sweet man who forever stamped such a great memory in my heart as well as some of the values and skills that I will carry with me forever". GOD needed a third base coach for HIS team, the ANGELS, and he could not have chosen a better one. AJ you will not only be missed by your family, friends, myself, the ladies of BCLL Blue Jays, when we first started coaching, but by all the girls of our ASA team, Bridge City Thunder. In closing a coach's worth isn't found in their won/loss record or their resume, but in the impact made in their players lives. RIP Coach AJ
