Arthur Wayne Ferguson, 69, of Orange, passed away on February 3, 2021 in Port Arthur.
A private family memorial service will be done at a later date.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 1, 1951, he was the son of Edward Ferguson and Pernecie (Rowe) Ferguson. Art started working for Texaco at the age of 18 and stayed with the company as it transferred over to Motiva. He later retired after 37 years of hard work with the company. Art enjoyed going to concerts, fishing, and watching movies. He was a family man who enjoyed bringing his family out for steak or to a crawfish boil. Art also known as “Paw Paw Art” was a wonderful provider for his family and never missed a moment with them. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Pernecie Ferguson; brothers, James Capps and Dennis Ferguson; as well as his beloved dog Nemo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Grace Ferguson; children, Robin Thibodeaux and long-term boyfriend, Paul Sachitano of Winnie and Misty Thurman and husband Jimmy of Beaumont; grandchildren, Taylor McDonald and husband Jake, Preslea Thibodeaux, and Luke Thibodeaux; sister, Katherine Schuebel of Cypress; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.

I worked with Arthur for many years at the plant. He was always jolly and loved to joke around. We had some good times. I lost touch with him when he retired but thought of him often. I know he will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
RIP MY FRIEND
