Arthur Lee Landry, 78, of Orange, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Baptist Orange Hospital in Orange.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with Reverend Kaye Sims officiating. Cremation will follow at Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Arthur Lee was born in Hackberry, Louisiana on September 30, 1932. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a longtime employee of Levingston Shipbuilding Co. where he was a safety supervisor, and a member of the V.F.W. Post 2775.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Landry; father, Andrew Landry; mother and step-father, Nettie and Hugh Williams; and brother, Billy Williams.
Arthur Lee is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Anna Landry of Lafayette, Louisiana; daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Carlton Raley, and Tracy and Rob Ellis all of Orange; and son and daughter-in-law, Hugh and Wanda Landry of Vidor.
He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, Blake Landry, Brad Landry, Ryan Raley, Shana Dougherty, C.J. Raley, Cody Ellis, Dylan Ellis, Jennifer Ellis, Ashlyn Ellis, Sarah Myers and Josh Myers; brother, Andrew Landry, Jr. and his wife, Jerry of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sisters, Lou Stone of New Braunfels, and Frances Erwin and her husband, Paul of Estes Park, Colorado; and close companion, Helen Tynes of Deweyville.
