A.R.L. ?Ray? Jackson, Jr., 83, of Vidor, died, Friday, October 26, 2007 in Vidor.
Graveside service and Interment will be held, 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 29, 2007 at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Officiating will be Pastor John Boutte of First Christian Church of Vidor.
Ray was born March, 17, 1924 in Greenville, TX to Arvid Ray Lloyd and Gladys Fitzwater Jackson, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Mobil Oil after 32 years of service. Ray was a member of the First Christian Church of Vidor and loved music and spending quality time with his children.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Donald Jackson and son-in-law, David Tinkle.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margie Sue Jackson; three sons, Ray Jackson and wife Marion of Hammond, LA, Mark Jackson and wife Brenda of Memphis, TN and Don Jackson and wife Toni of Vidor.
He is also survived by his daughter, Ann Tinkle, one grandchild, Jessica Desormeaux and one Great-Grandchild, Kimber Desormeaux all of Vidor.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Jackson, Don Jackson, Ray Jackson, Scott Desormeaux and Roy Hamm.
