Audrey Mae Brown, 90, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 5, 2020, in Vidor, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Joseph P. Daleo. Burial will follow the mass at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Church Point, Louisiana, on March 2, 1929, she was the daughter of Mayo Mott and Ella (Venable) Mott. Audrey was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. She enjoyed spending time fishing, shopping, going to garage sales, dancing, and embroidering pillowcases. She loved to camp with family and friends and could always be found at Dairy Queen on Wednesdays visiting with her friends. Audrey loved her family dearly and will always live on in their hearts and memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayo and Ella Mott; her loving husband, Donald P. Brown; sons, Ronald “Boo Boo” Brown, Joe Brown, and Allan Ray Brown; and her daughter, Ramona Faye Prejean.
Those left to cherish Audrey’s memory include her son, Steven Brown and wife Cheryl; son-in-law, Johnny Prejean; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Acosta, Bobby Payne, Johnny Prejean, Michael Owens, Charles Woods, and Larry Robnett. Honorary pallbearers are Dallen Tarver, Ryan Crosiar, and Bobby Ferguson.
