Audrey M. Fowler

Audrey Minyard Fowler, 101, passed away in her sleep January 13, 2024.

Audrey was born in Mt. Carmel, Texas on June 11, 1922, to William and Lilly Minyard. Audrey was raised by her Aunt Lula Minyard Owens and Uncle Albert Owens along with her sisters, Ledra and Inez, in Colmesneil, Texas. Audrey moved to Beaumont, Texas after graduating from high school. She married Howard Fowler in December of 1945 and had two children, Anita Fowler Drake and Joel Fowler. The family moved to McLewis community in 1962, where she lived until her death.Audrey was a faithful member of Winfree Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two children and their families.

A special thanks and recognition to the four ladies who helped care for her over the past two years, Jackie Thomas, Naomi Robinson, Veronica Leslie, and Claudia Williams.

Funeral services will be held January 18, 2024, at11:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, officiated by Keith Royal.
Interment will be at Colmesneil Cemetery.

Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Winfree Baptist Church.
