Azie Lee Williams, 90, of Orange, died, Thursday, August 30, 2007 in Orange.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2007 at St. Paul?s Episcopal Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Bill Phillips. Entombment will be held at St. Mary?s Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Azie was born March 23, 1917 in Natchitoches Parish, LA to Mack Henry and Paralee Newton Webb, but has been a resident of Orange since 1946. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul?s Episcopal Church, and St. Paul?s Alter Guild. She and her husband loved to travel and were members of the VFW and Optimist club. She loved cooking, taking care of her plants and being around her family and church family.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband Ray A. Williams, son-in-law, Marvin Smith, brother, Mack Webb, Jr., sister, Mary Harper and her grandson, Donald Smith.
Azie is survived by her daughter, Regina ?Jean? Smith of Orange, her two grandchildren; Bruce Smith and his wife Angie; Linda Holcombe and her husband Ronnie, three great-grandchildren, Justin Holcombe, Krystal Johnson, and Ashton Smith. She is also survived by her great-great-grandchild, Haley Johnson, sisters; Goldie Taylor of Tyler, Bernice Trahan and brother Paul Webb both of Orange and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
