Barbara Ann Duncan, 76, formerly of Bridge City and Little Cypress, Texas passed away on November 23, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Orange, Texas, on March 21, 1942, she was the daughter of Cecil F. Block and Maggie (Ruff) Block. Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Wart, and they were married for 58 years. She spent many years working in child care at Wesley United Methodist Church in Beaumont. Barbara was a dynamic person, and devoted her life to caring for many people over the years. She somehow knew when you needed her the most. Barbara was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She enjoyed the beach, shopping, and being with her dogs. Barbara adored her family and loved to spend time with them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde “Wart” Leslie Duncan, Jr.; her parents, Cecil and Maggie Block; her brother, Billy Block; and her sister, Reba Bennett.

She is survived by her children, Leslie Ann Smith and husband, Mickey of Davenport, Florida, Tim Duncan and his wife, Lanette of Winona, Minnesota, and Chris Duncan and his wife, Becky of Burleson, Texas; her grandchildren, Jason Duncan and his wife, Jessica, Logan Smith and his wife, Melissa, Shawnee Partain, Madison Bergaus and her husband, Peter, and Hayden Duncan; and her great-grandchildren, Kassidy Spaulding, Evelyn Spaulding, Aurora Spaulding, and Indiana Duncan; and many friends that she considered family.

Just wanted to say Barbara was such a sweet and precious soul, I got to work with her at Westgate Mothers day out,she loved working with children, what I got to know of her is she loved her family, you all meant the world to her, She was always so sweet and I enjoyed working with her.She was a fire cracker, didn't let anything hold her back.She is missed by many of us, thoughts and prayers for her family.May she be at peace with our Heavenly Father.

My name is Ellie Marhall I have been a a friend, co- worker, and had went to church together. I loved your MoM She was a Wonderful, Beautiful, caring lady. She loved her babies so much at work. And she loved you guys Sooo much!!! Very proud of her family. I will miss her smile her loving heart. Barabra and I always bump into each while shopping. And in November that was the last time in Stein mart I saw her. She was a fighter In faith . She loved the Lord. Now she is home with y’alls daddy And JESUS. No more sickness, no more pain. I always called her aunt bobby as a kid but she was so much more than an aunt to me she was always there when I needed to talk to someone. She gave me priceless advice many times. And she shared my love of animals. She was wonderful person and I will miss her greatly.
