Barbara Kay Hester

March 29, 1952 — December 6, 2021

Barbara Kay Veillon Hester, 69, from Livingston, Texas went to be with the Lord on December 6th, after finally winning her brief battle with cancer. We know that her physical body has passed but her soul is completely healed and today she is dancing with the angels in the presence of the Lord.

Barbara was born the third daughter to Harry Burke and Rena Mendoza Veillon on March 29, 1952.

She is survived by her two sons, Chris & (Breanna) Taylor, her one and only apple of her eye grandson Liam of Tyler, TX, Ryan Taylor and (Krystal Kennedy) of Orange, TX. Sisters are, Yvonne Veillon of Bridge City, Brenda & (Jim) Mouton of Orange, Dale & (Paul) Conley of Fairhope, Al. Bothers are, Rick & (Debbie) Veillon of Orange, Randy and (Susan) Veillon of Orange. She has many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and lots of cousins.

Barbara loved to read, but she wanted to share her love of reading with other people. That is what made her such a great teacher, a teacher that won many awards over her career. Teaching students was her happy place, some would say it was not a job, but her passion and calling. We will never really know the impact she actually had on so many students over the years. Some of the schools lucky to have had her were, Lorena Oates in West Orange, Bluebonnet Academy in Huntsville, Elementary school in Livingston and Livingston Montessori School.

Barbara will be missed as a mom, grandmother, sister and teacher to all that knew her.

Barbara’s final wishes were to be cremated and an intimate family celebration of her life will be planned at a later date.
