Born in League City, Texas, on October 16, 1945, she was the daughter of Archibald Lawrence Lotz and Virginia Lee Hatfield. A devoted homemaker, Barbara dedicated her life to nurturing children across several generations, embodying a spirit of care and compassion that will be cherished by her family and friends. Barbara was not only a loving grandmother, endearingly known as "Meme" to her grandchildren, but she also took great joy in her passions. An accomplished painter, she especially enjoyed the delicate beauty of watercolor, capturing moments and inspirations that reflected her vibrant soul. Her love for nature was evident in her beautiful garden, where she would often sit on her porch, sipping coffee, and admiring the fruits of her labor—a testament to her nurturing spirit. A proud member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Barbara found strength and community in her faith, which guided her through life's journey. One of the fondest memories cherished by her family was the annual tradition of making Christmas cookies with her grandchildren—a delightful experience filled with laughter, creativity, and the sweet aroma of holiday joy. Barbara's friendships spanned decades, and she remained closely connected to her lifelong friends, demonstrating a commitment to nurturing bonds that enriched her life. Her warm presence and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Klein, Sr.; and her daughter, Donna Klein.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Trnka and husband, Greg; her son, Paul Klein and wife, Elizabeth; her grandchildren, Rebecca Bryant and husband, Johnathan Hughes, Samantha Johnson, and husband, Zach, Robert Trnka, and Whitney Lee-ann LeGrand and husband, Tyler; her great-grandchildren, Madison Denzlinger and husband, Caison, Jaxson, Aubree, Cayden, and Oakland,; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
