Barbara Martin, 70, of Bridge City, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend James Moore of Orangefield Pentecostal Church.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Barbara was born on November 26, 1938, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was the daughter of Bradley and Elouise Gee Johnson. Barbara was a member of the Orangefield Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clayton Martin.
Survivors include her son, David Martin of Bridge City; daughter, Tammy Simmons of Bridge City; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Tammy Ann Martin of Groves; nine grandchildren, Marrissa Simmons, Amber Martin, Aubrie Martin, William Martin, Madison Martin, Bryana Simmons, Seth Martin, Beau Martin and Bryant Simmons, Jr.; great-grandchild, Aiden Trasp; and a half sister, Tanya Doughtry of Knoxville, Tennessee.
