Barbara Ann Taylor, 81, of Orange, passed away on April 13, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Orange First Church of the Nazarene. Officiating will be Pastor K. Ray McDowell.
Barbara was born in Augusta, Georgia, on May 12, 1940, she was the daughter of Thomas Kitchens and Vera Hamrick. She would often visit her neighbors on Gandy Street and helped look after them. Barbara truly enjoyed helping others. She traveled around Texas enjoying the simple things and beautiful sights throughout the state. Barbara would spend hours working in her yard, which was her joy. She was always very involved in her family’s lives and loved them with her big heart. Barbara loved her family and God, and always made sure they were right after Him. She was greatly loved, and will be deeply missed by friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Kitchens and Vera Hamrick; and loving husband, Bobby Joe Taylor.
She is survived by her children, Karen Finchum and Penny of Sulphur, Kenneth Taylor and Sandy of Orange, Kaycie Donnaud and Walker of Orange; grandchildren, Taylor Finchum, Hunter Taylor and Alyssa, Haylee Little and Kyle, Gracie Donnaud, Parker Ann Donnaud, Colt Donnaud; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Jo Little, Emmie Alexander, Macartny Alexander, Davis Alexander; brother, Donald Kitchens and wife Connie; sister-in-law, Joyce Gandy; along with nieces and nephews, Greg, Mark, Rhonda, Jana, Kristopher, Michael, her Arkansas relatives, and her extended family on Gandy Street.
As an option in lieu of flowers, make a love offering to Orange First Church of Nazarene in memory of Barbara Taylor.

Mrs.Taylor (as I called her) was a good friend and true neighbor. My family lived next door to hers for many years. She and Mr.Taylor were caring, involved, and generous people. I wish all my neighbors were like Mrs. Taylor! My prayers are with all of her family.
