Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on June 14, 1933, she was the daughter of Robert C. Davis and Grace Virginia (Thompson) Davis. Barbara met her husband Anthony at Bishop Byrne High School in Port Arthur. They were married on November 15, 1953 and, after Anthony’s service in the Navy, relocated back to Southeast Texas from California. She lived the last 58 years in Bridge City where they raised seven children. She worked for the Port of Orange and Port of Beaumont until her retirement after a long and successful career. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed nothing better than going to her kids and grandkids sporting events and being the loudest cheerleader in the stands. Bobbie also enjoyed many Fine Arts performances by her grandchildren. She loved to work on her puzzles on her iPad, raising her beautiful orchids and crocheting was a favorite pasttime. One of her biggest desires was to crochet an afghan for each grandchild before she passed. Her smile and heartwarming laughter will never be forgotten as we remember all of her stories of her mischievous misadventures with the nuns. She will be missed by all her family and those whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Charles Truncale; her parents, Robert and Grace Davis; her son, Robert Truncale; her daughter-in-law, Debra Truncale; her granddaughter, Olivia Truncale; her three sisters; and her brother.
