Bennie Dallas Ivy, 86, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Larry Spears.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Cooper, Texas, on February 22, 1938, she was the daughter of Jack B. Owens and Addie Belle (Killebrew) Owens. Bennie's journey through life was marked by her sassiness and sense of humor, qualities that brought joy to many and left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Bennie’s professional life was equally colorful; she spent the majority of her career as a hairdresser at Lamoine's Hair Quarters. Her artistic talents didn't end there, as she was a self-taught painter whose creativity blossomed on canvas, showcasing her remarkable skill and passion for art. In her personal life, Bennie cherished her family and had a special place in her heart for her community. She derived immense joy from being around her loved ones and enjoyed helping those who lived near her. Her generosity and kindness were evident in her everyday actions, bringing comfort and assistance to those in need. Bennie will be remembered not only for her artistic talents and her career in hairdressing but also for the laughter that followed her everywhere. Her legacy of love, humor, and creativity will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched, ensuring that she will never be forgotten.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to her daughter in law Kandis for all her love and care.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Belle Owens; sisters, Carol Stewart and Connie Miller; and son, Chris Dallas.
She is survived by her sons, Tony Dallas and wife Nancy, and Johnny Dallas and wife Kandis; grandchildren, Leigh Anne Harrell and husband Brody, Jack Dallas and wife Reid, Chad Dallas and wife Madison, Mason Dallas and wife Dakota, Karli Goff and husband Matt, Dawson Dallas and wife Tayler, and Michael Eades; ten great grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Thomas Owens and wife Shirley; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
