Obituary
Benny Rae Perry, 68, passed away on December 9, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Born in Leesville, Louisiana, on January 10, 1953, he was the son of Kelly Elmer Perry and Missouri Elizabeth Dixon. Benny was one of twelve children. He served bravely in the military and was honorably discharged from the Army. Benny loved to hunt, fish, and dance until he was no longer able to. Self taught, Benny played the harmonica and guitar, and came from a family who were musically inclined. He would not turn away anyone who needed help and children were always close to his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kelly Elmer Perry; mother, Missouri Elizabeth Dixon; brothers, Malcom Perry, Larry Perry, Elmer Reid Perry, and twin brothers, Dewight and Dewayne Perry.
He is survived by his sisters, Elaine Nelson, Lorraine Nichols, Billie June Hinson, Darlene Andrews, Durlene Schumacher; brother, Danny Wayne Perry; sister-in-love, Jane Perry; daughters, Kimberly Perry, Cristina Quinley; sons, Gary Perry and Jerry Perry; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
