Bert V. Williamson, 88, of Beaumont passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Calder Baptist Church with Dr. James Fuller officiating.
Mr. Williamson was born July 30, 1918 in Buckville, AR to Frank and Clara Hicks Williamson. He served as a Master Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy beginning in WWII and retiring after 22 years of service and then worked for 14 years at the Government Services Association in the Beaumont Federal Building. He was a deacon at Calder Baptist Church, and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Some Other Place.
Preceded in death by his first wife of forty-five years, Louise Mosby Williamson he is survived by his second wife, Ruby N. Shirutis Williamson of Beaumont; son, Michael O. Williamson and his wife, Judy of Groves; daughter, Judy Ann Williamson of Beaumont; granddaughter, Melissa Farrow; grandson, Leslie Pitre both of Groves; five great-grandchildren; aunt, Mattie Hargroves; and cousins, Janice and David Kinney, their three children and their families all of Ozark, AR.
Memorial Donations may be made to Some Other Place, Habitat for Humanity, or American Cancer Society.
