Bessie Ruth Teal Dickson, 79, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Medical Center in Port Arthur.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Randall R. Branch, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday, at the funeral home.
Born in Orange on November 5, 1932, Bessie was the daughter of Herbert Vester Teal and Bessie Barksdale Teal. She was a member of Church of Christ of Mauriceville and homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Claude F. Dickson, Bessie is survived by her son, Claude Michael Dickson and wife, Holly of Mauriceville; daughter, Frances Broussard and husband, John of Orange; and sons, George Allen Dickson and wife, JoAnn of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and Herbert Nelson Dickson of Orange.
She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Percy Teal of Oklahoma; and sisters, Alice Powell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Linda Currie and husband, Wayne of Orange, and Delores Rutledge and husband Calvin of Orange.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City.
