Bettie Sue Leger Mouton, 85, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2018, in Orange.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with Father Jim Sichko Papal Missionary of Mercy officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Churchpoint, Louisiana, on July 6, 1932, she was the daughter of Pierre C. Leger and Cedia (Olivier) Leger. Bettie was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. She spent time volunteering at Southeast Texas Hospice, as well as at Shangri La Botanical Gardens in Orange. Bettie loved to see all kinds of gardens and spend time in the mountains of Colorado. She enjoyed needlepoint and collecting angels. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Cedia Leger; her loving husband of 60 years, Cloyd Mouton, Sr.; and her brother, Garney Leger.
Those left to cherish Bettie’s memory include her children, Cloyd Mouton, Jr. and his wife Linda, of Orange, Terri Mouton Harley and her spouse David Self, of Nederland, David Mouton and his wife Patty, of Orange, and Glenda Mouton, of Houston; grandchildren, Chrissie Mouton, Brian Mouton and wife Sadie, Brooks Mouton and wife Karen, Justin Mouton and wife Shanna, and Devin Harley and wife Pinkee; great-grandchildren, William Cloyd Mouton, Jakob Mouton, Harper Mouton, Parker Mouton, and Jai Devin Harley; brother, Everett Leger and wife Linda; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
