Betty Ann Busby, 70, of Orange, died Sunday, August 5, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with the Reverend Joseph P. Daleo, pastor of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, officiating.
Cremation will follow under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
Visitation will begin Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Betty was born in Orange on May 2, 1937, the daughter of Van and Mary Marshall and in high school, was a twirler and drummer in the Stark High Bengal Guards
She was a homemaker and member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Orange.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Mary Marshall; brother, Joe Marshall; sisters, Frances Choate and Katherine Busby; and grandchildren, Laura Lee Busby and Joshua Busby.
She is survived by her husband of over 52 years, Cecil Murl Busby, Sr.; daughters, Sheila Abshire, Mary Annette Busby and Alida Lohse, all of Orange, Cecilia Busby of Colorado; sons, James Robert Busby of Orange, David Busby of Massachusetts, Cecil Busby, Jr. of Deweyville, Charles Busby of El Paso and John Busby of Orange; 36 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and seven great grandchildren who are on the way.
Also surviving are her sisters, Rose Ward of Lufkin, Shirley Freeman of Bridge City, JoAnn Tilman of Orange and Dorothy Shannon of San Marcos; brother, Frankie Marshall of Louisiana; aunt, Josephine Barras of Orange and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
