Betty Jo Dillard, 84, of Orange, passed away on June 2, 2014, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Mr. Darrell Powell of The Church of Christ in West Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Pampa, Texas on May 5, 1930 Betty was the daughter of Charles and Grace (White) Reed. Betty has been a resident of Orange, Texas since 1943 and graduated from Stark High School in 1947. She married Prentice Dillard on June 3, 1950. This year would have marked their 64th wedding anniversary. She worked for First Savings and Loan and Orange Credit Bureau. Grandma Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Prentice Dillard; her children Ramona and Roger Perry, Mike and Carol Dillard, and Randy and Nan Dillard; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Dillard, Justin Dillard, Adam Perry, Austin Perry, and Clay Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Colten Dillard and Andrew Perry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association:
