Betty Joe Hardin, 81, of Orange, died Thursday, August 20, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2009, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Betty Joe was born on November 9, 1927, in Dallas, Texas. She was the daughter of Fred A. Miller and Evie McFadden Miller. Betty Joe was a service representative for Southwestern Bell for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evie McFadden Judin and Fred A. Miller; brother, Fred A. Miller, Jr.; son, Lamar Hardin, Jr.; and step-son, Bill Hardin.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lamar CoCo Hardin of Orange; daughters and sons-in-law, Willoughby and Bradley Crochet of Orange and Nancy Lou and Jerry Working of Blaine, WA; step-son, Tom Hardin and his wife Margie of Mississippi; grandchildren, Lamar Wyatt McFadden Belcher, Lillie Joe Belcher, and Joshua Working; great-grandchildren, Karma Kinsley Working; and sister-in-law, Ruby Lou Hardin.
