Betty Marshall Jones, 83, of Beaumont was born November 13, 1931 in San Augustine County, Texas to Marie Yancey and Glen M. Marshall and passed away March 27, 2015 in Tyler, Texas. She was a former resident of Silsbee.
Betty retired from Lamar University and Oil City Brass Works, Inc. She is a member of North End Baptist Church, Shriners Ramallah Temple #89, Shriners El Mina Eastern Belles, Shriners Daughter of the Nile, RV Ding-A-Ling Campers, former President of Pilot Club of Beaumont, Inc. and Texas Longhorn Cattle Rancher.
Betty was preceded in death by husband Charles S. Jones and parents Glen and Marie Yancey Marshall.
She is survived by sisters Billie DuBose of Tyler, Jane Miller of Plano, Kathryn Decker of Huntsville and nieces and nephews, Sandy Hoff, Betty Matthews, Terrell Miller, Keith DuBose, Melanie White, Glen Breder and Wesley Breder.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Keith DuBose, Wes Breder, Glen Breder, Terrell Miller, Jack Marshall and Ronald Luedke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Eddis Smith, Roland Marshall, Robert Marshall, Frank Marshall, Brent Murray, Brad Murray, L. W. Lister, Sr., and Luke Luedke.
