Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with Reverend Jeff Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 19, 1927, she was the daughter of Bryan L. Burton and Ethel (Newhouse) Burton. Betty graduated from Stark High School where she was in the Bengal Guards Drum and Bugle Corps. She was a member of Cove Baptist Church in Orange, as well as Sweet Adelines International- a women’s choir that sings barbershop harmony. She and “Pop” loved to travel in the RV and meet up with friends in RV parks. She always enjoyed watching M.A.S.H., the Andy Griffith Show, and Murder She Wrote. Betty loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Ethel Burton; daughter, Jan Hudson; husband, Walter Lex Pinson; and former husbands, Robert J. Robinson and Sammy Cooper.
Betty is survived by her brother, Bill Burton; children, Robert Robinson, Gay Borel, Bill Robinson, Joey Robinson, Patti Wade, and Jim Pinson; grandchildren, Bryan Robinson, Marla Robinson, Briana Kramer, David Block, Ginger Sharp, Brandon Yawn, Brent Yawn, Derrick Borel, Casey Hall, Sara Patterson, Kyle Robinson, Eric Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Clint Robinson, Christi Rider, Ashley Klock, Jonathan Wade, Phillip Wade, Quinton Wade, Joshua Wade, Julie Pinson, James Pinson, and Tonya Marie Pedace; 39 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 4 nephews; and 3 nieces.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Robinson, Casey Hall, Jonathan Wade, James Pinson, Brandon Yawn, and Clint Robinson.
