Betty Lou Roff, 76, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on January 29, 2016 in Port Arthur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Trout Creek Cemetery in Kirbyville. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm, Monday, February 1st, at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont with a vigil service at 6:00 p.m.
Born in Rayne, LA on July 13, 1939, she was a patient, gentle and loving mother, devoted to our family. She was a cancer survivor but always found joy in all of life particularly in celebrating her faith and her Cajun heritage with the food, the music and dancing. She was always the anchor of our family and we will miss her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Roff; brother, Wilton Trahan Jr.; parents, Wilton and Wilma Trahan; and granddaughter Rebecca Grace Chauvin.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Chauvin and wife, Ruby, of Brownsville TN, Kim Kelley of Pt Neches, Daren Chauvin and wife, Dawn of Boerne, TX and Angel Pinder of Beaumont; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Gauthier of Nederland.
