Betty Faye Cox Rowlett, 52, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on April 7, 2018, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, on December 14, 1965, she was the daughter of Jack L. Cox and Carolyn K. (Darlington) Cox. Betty was a believer in Christ and a Sunday school teacher at Triangle Baptist Church in Orangefield for 17 years. She enjoyed crafts, genealogy, and riding extreme rides at the fair. Betty was sweet, kind and loving but always stood up for herself. She loved walking on the beach with her beloved husband. Betty adored babies of all kinds, and always found importance in anniversaries, Christmas, and holidays. She was a great shot and an excellent welder. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Cox; and grandma, Ivory Darlington.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John Rowlett; father, Jack Cox; siblings, Evelyn Smith and husband Bob of Rosepine, Louisiana, Lori Cromp of Rosepine, Louisiana, Jack Cox, II and wife Dee of Springfield, Ohio, and other step siblings; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and loving aunts and uncles.
