Betty Stimac

1940 ∼ 2025

Betty Stimac gained her angel wings on May 31 surrendered by her family. Betty was 84 years young. She was born on October 9, 1940.

She is the daughter of JD Cooper, Sr and Kathleen Perry.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; by her son, Johnny Stimac Jr.; her brother, Jack Denny Cooper, Jr.; and her sisters, Cynthia Burks and Cathy Latham.

Betty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Johnny Stimac, Sr.; her sons, Nolan Guidroz, Jr. ( Rhonda) and Cecil Stimac, and her daughters, Tammy Menard (Dean) and Dena Payne. Betty had 4 grandchildren, Heath Elmore, Norman Elmore, Lindsey Gilbreath and Meaghan Leigh. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Survived by 2 sisters, Debbie Bordelon and Shelia Ray; and brother, Henry Michael Sedoruk, Jr.

Betty loved her family and loved life. She managed Town and Country Fashion Store in Bridge City, TX and loved when her customers would come in and ask her to pick their clothes out for them. She loved traveling with her sisters rather it was by car or cruising. She also had a love for plants and dancing. She and Johnny would sometimes put on the Cajun music in the mornings and dance in the kitchen.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Sullivan. Betty’s final resting place will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Serving as pallbearers are Heath Elmore, Norman Elmore, Brody Elmore, Kenneth Stimac, Todd Cooper, and Jason Moore.

The family would like to thank Kate Dishman Rehab, Calderwood Skilled Nursing Rehab and PAM Rehab for all that you did. And especially Harbor Hospice for being so good with our loved one.
