She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Virginia Bailey; her loving husband, Willard J. Thayer; grandparents, Grover A. Cox, Viola M. Carpenter, Theresa M. Callahan, and Henry J. Bailey; daughter, Sally A. Thayer; and her siblings, Virginia Beecher, Anne Dudley, Joan Cronin, and Lt. Col. William D. Bailey, Jr.

I am so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. She was a lovely woman, my Mom's first cousin, and her family and husband Will were wonderful to me when I spent time at Cross Lake with them many years ago. My Mom had many many great memories with her Bailey cousins, and through their relationship, I got to know my cousins Mary, Judy, Mark and Scott. Love to you all and hope to meet up with you sometime in the future. Love, Traci Vedder Schuster

My sincere condolences to you all for your loss. Betty and Will were corner stones at St Patrick's. Will was especially attentive to my "ArmyGirl" daughter - asking after her at every meeting. And Betty was of great help to me while taking over at the church. Please know that your loss will be felt from my family, as well as the St Pat's family. She was a very caring women. May she Rest In Peace with Will and the rest of her loved ones. Faye Woodworth Jones and Family.

Sincere sympathy for all the Thayer family. I have so many memories of golfing trips with Betty, Will, Greg and I. An interesting note that probably only Scott knows about. As Will and Greg got older they were unable to hit the ball as far as before , so I have been told they were allowed to hit from the women's tees. The league still has the Will and Greg night when they all hit from the women's tees. Brad Hamer says it is the worst night of golfing and maybe the funniest! All my love Shirley Drummond
