Betty Jean Arnold McGee

December 18, 1945 — June 7, 2011

Betty Jean Arnold McGee, 65, of Bridge City passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Renaissance Hospital in Groves.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Arnold; mother, Rosa Arnold; daughter, Lisa Franklin; and grandchild, Phillip Uher.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Larry McGee; son, Shannon Franklin and wife, Brooke of Bridge City; daughter, Deborah Jennings and husband, Shane of Sabine Pass; son, Larry Jordan and wife, Sarah of Tennessee; grandchildren, Christanna Franklin, Hunter Franklin, Russell Uher, Quentin Uher, Joseph Uher, Cierra Hughes, Kirsty Broussard, Skylar Broussard, Traye Broussard and Grace Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Aspein Lakey, Hadleigh Lakey, Alissa Hughes, Alayna Hughes, and Matthew Jones.

She is also survived by her step-children, Rodney Wade McGee, Brenda Brister and husband Edwin, Carolyn Farr and husband Marlin, Sheila Snellgrove, Hamp Rutland, and Wayne McGee; grandchildren, Cody Farr and wife Shannon, Brandon Farr and Caitlin, Troy Brister and wife, Stacie, Heather Brister and Juan Martinez, Lacie Snellgrove and Brian, Keili Stephens, Kevin Stephens, Colton Snellgrove, Robyn White, Justin White, and Jimmy Rutland; and great-grandchildren, Cayden, Carson, Aroni, Brooke, Madyson, Madden, Mason, and Lincoln.

The family would like to give a special thank you to CVICU staff at Renaissance Hospital.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. A Graveside Service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres.
