Betty Jo Klekar, 75, of Orange, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at St. Mary?s Hospital in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Scott McIntosh of North Orange Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Born in Brewton, Alabama on October 4, 1935, Betty Jo was the daughter of Spurgeon and Cupid Morgan Evans. She was a faithful supporter of the V.A. and a member of the VFW Hall in Orange. She supported our troops and was a lifeline to her family. She will be greatly missed. You?ll be in our hearts forever. We?ll love you always.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic P. Klekar; son, Stanley Hugh Brooks; daughter, Sheila Havard; and son, Charles Brooks.
Betty Jo is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Smith, and she was a grandmother of many precious grandchildren.
