Jeanie Morris, 85, of Orange, passed away on October 30, 2021, in Starks.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 12, 1936, she was the daughter of C. Jeff Raymer and Ima (Bean) Raymer. Jeanie had a very artistic spirit and loved painting and spending time in her garden. She enjoyed playing cards, computer games, and hosting Sunday dinner for her family. She was an excellent cook and always had coffee and snacks for those that visited her. Jeanie took great joy in being surrounded by her family and friends and was a wonderful matriarch for her family. She had a one of a kind heart of gold that will be missed for years to come.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C. Jeff and Ima Raymer ; husband, Jimmie Dee Morris; son, Jeffrey Dan Morris; and grandchildren, Heather Gillis and Jeffrey Dan Morris, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Becky Morris Gillis and husband Greg of Starks, John Morris and wife Sarah of Orange; grandchildren, Melinda Gillis, Justin Morris, Kaci Tatom, Java Morris, Jennise Morris, J.D. Morris, and Jadyn Morris; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kennedie, Madison, Donna, Mac, Bekahlynn, Lawson and Connor.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Morris, Jerry “Bubba” Morris, Jr., J.D. Morris, Jalen Griffin, Josh Sonnier and Java Morris.
