Billy Edward Hutson
Billy Edward Hutson, 84, of Orange, passed away on June 30, 2019, at Winnie Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange. Officiating will be David Millner. Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange.
Born in Deweyville, Texas, on July 13, 1934, he was the son of Will Hutson and Mildred Levine Johnson. Billy proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was an airplane mechanic. During his time in the Air Force he traveled to Bermuda and started the First Baptist Church of Bermuda in 1956. Billy was the former pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange and enjoyed building his sermons for the services. Billy liked antique Ford vehicles and also loved playing the guitar. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Mildred Hutson; brother, Charles Hutson; his grandmother, Lucy; grandson, Samuel Moody; daughter in laws, Sherry Moody and Monica Hutson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruby Hutson; children, Ronnie Moody of Deweyville, Paul Hutson and wife Jennifer of Deweyville, Don Moody and wife Renee of Plano, Illinois, and Mike Hutson of Deweyville, 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Janice Devere and Jim McGowan.

Dear Ruby and all of the family. I am so happy I got to meet Bill and you. Burrell’s wish was that he could see Bill one more time and I am sure his wish has come true now. Know that I am holding you in my prayers Ruby. Both you and Bill have served God throughout your life. Thankful that I was there to hear his sermon while visiting Deweyville. Papaw I miss you, you served god your whole life and I know your still working for him in heaven. You helped so many people in your life time, you were a shepherd of your flock, I wish I could of seen you before you went to be with the lord, but I will one day. You were the best husband to nanny, you were the best father to your sons, best grandfather to your grandchildren and best friend to your friends.
